Learn More about HAFTA
HAFTA (Halton Agreement Forest Trail Association) Founded in 2015
HAFTA began as a group of mountain bikers seeking trail access and has grown into dedicated stewards of the Agreement Forest trails. Representing all trail users, HAFTA works to maintain, protect, and celebrate these paths — and encourages everyone to join in supporting the trails.
While riding the forest is free, keeping it open takes thousands of volunteer hours accumulated over decades. HAFTA asks the community to help preserve the trails and protect the forest’s wildlife, including the endangered Jefferson Salamander. Stay on the trails, respect all living things, and help HAFTA keep the forest thriving.
Whether you're grinding a climb or coasting through a wooded trail, Burlington’s diverse terrain makes it easy to find your perfect ride. Just remember: no bikes on the Bruce Trail — let’s keep it preserved for hikers.
